What is ADSL? ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a new broadband technology that lets you enjoy super-fast Internet access without the need for lots of mind-boggling equipment. ADSL uses everyday copper phone lines to deliver broadband Internet at superfast speeds. For example, on the 500MB Plan, you can surf the net at speeds of up to 256kbps (kilobits per second) and on the 10GB plan, up to 1.5mbps (megabits per second). As a comparison, most computers come with a dial-up modem that can only cope with speeds up to 56 kbps (kilobits per second).

What about wireless broadband?  Wireless Broadband gives you true wireless access to the Internet, with broadband download speeds of up to 512kbps depending on your plan. Unlike our Home Wi-Fi, which offers the freedom of no wires between your PC and the modem, Wireless Broadband has no wires between the modem and the Internet (but if you are using a wireless broadband modem you will need to plug it into your PC and a power point to use it). It means you're free to move your modem, from house to house or office to office within a wireless broadband coverage area.Our Mobile Card solution, for laptops, means you can be online even when you're on the move within our coverage areas. That's why we call this true wireless broadband.
